Wound-Up Man

One long strand of rusty, barbed wire winds dangerously throughout the body of the otherwise empty man. A faint electric fence further isolates the body. A blue, wind-up key gives the automaton its only motive force.

We all have wounds in our past. Wrongs and unpleasant experiences are a wonderful part of life, a source of growth and strengthening. But we must face these wounds. If instead we leave them to fester, if we ignore our sorrows and fail to learn from them, these wounds will eventually empty us of life. We'll be like the man in the picture, wound up in our own wounds.
